Goran Visnjic in His First Villain Role

Timeless is NBC’s latest show, created by Shawn Ryan and Erick Kripke, starring Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, and Malcolm Barrett as the time-traveling heroes’ trio, chasing after the mysterious criminal Goran Visnjic. So far, the audience has seen five episodes in which the characters have time traveled to historical periods like the Hindenburg disaster, World War II, Rat Pack-era in Las Vegas, the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, and the Alamo battle. Timeless has a solid rating and ranks high on every chart. In fact, Timeless is the top-rated Monday drama of this season among adult audiences.
NBC, the network behind this project was thrilled to announce the ordering of additional episodes so they can run the final hours of the season before the end of this year. Although the acting team led by Goran Visnjic is responsible for the series success and praise, we shouldn’t forget to congratulate Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan, the powerful duo which produced one of the most phenomenal new shows aired anywhere on television. Each week, the show takes us to a completely different place and time which is equally entertaining as it is emotional.
In addition to announcing the extended episodes of the first season, NBC assured that Timeless will keep its timeslot and will be aired Mondays at 10 p.m. Eastern time. That means that instead of the planned 13 episodes, the network has given green light for shooting additional three episodes, making it a total of 16 episodes in the first season. Timeless is a big-budget production series coming from Sony and Universal TV, and the reason why the series didn’t go to 22 episodes like its fall predecessors in the same timeslot is because it involves an elaborate production that is hard to pull off for 22 episodes, simply because each episode happens in a different time period, which normally requires new sets and new costumes.
The series live viewership, around 5 to 6 million viewers tuned live per episode every Monday, has made Timeless one of the top performers of the new fall shows on broadcast TV this season. Even though his is the first time that Visnjic is tagged as a villain, the audience seems to be more than satisfied with his performance.
