Visnjic and the Fighting Trio Will Shoot Additional Episodes of Timeless

Yesterday, Universal City issued a statement declaring that NBC has ordered a full season of its currently airing sci-fi drama “Timeless”. The adventure time-travel drama, starring Goran Visnjic as the series villain, chased by the fighting trio played by Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, and Malcolm Barrett, has so far received praise and tons of compliments. Timeless is a fun show that takes the audience on an emotional journey with every new episode, all set in different place and time. Time-travel films and series are often seen as complicated, with overpowering narratives and storylines that are difficult for the audience to follow. With that in mind, Shawn Ryan and Eric Kripke, the creators of Timeless, strived for simplicity so it could be easy for viewers to follow along.

The first time Goran Visnjic heard about this project, he was also concerned that the premise may be too complicated, but once he read the script he was amazed of how simple yet thrilling the story is, and how many deep layers his character had. The series operates in a single timeline, without any alternative dimensions and realities. In addition to this, both creators as well as the team behind this project, made sure that the series wouldn’t get lost in the shuffle, as time travel themed series seems to be one of the most popular trends this season. In the end, they managed to come up with a product that is unique, and stands out among the crop of sci-fi series.

With ten episodes already out, and couple more ready to be released, it seems like the audience has already deiced how they feel about the show. Timeless has received much more attention and for that matter, way better critics than other competing shows. Execution and characters are the two things that can make or break a television show, and since NBC's Timeless has already ordered additional episodes, it seems that everybody involved in this project have done their fair share of the work. For most people Goran Visnjic was the biggest surprise of the show, as it is the first time that we’re seeing the handsome Croatian actor play such dark, antagonist role.
