Goran Višnjić Visits Croatia

The famous Croatian actor with a Hollywood career and address, paid a short visit to Croatia, and as we found out, one of the reasons for the arrival of Goran Visnjic was to visit the shelter for abandoned animals near Dubrovnik. Namely, for years now, Goran and his wife Eva have been donating money with the purpose of saving abandoned dogs in Croatia. The couple even took few of those dogs and settled them in their home in Los Angeles. The actor will stay in Croatia only for a few days, because he has scheduled shooting for a new movie in America, where he will be starring opposite Jennifer Garner, the actress that he meet almost ten years ago in the movie “Elektra”.

Before starting his new film with Jennifer Garner, called “The Tribes of Palos Verdes”, the famous actor Goran Visnjic paid a visit to his native Croatia, which could be seen from the post on his Facebook page. One of the reasons for his arrival, as we found out from sources close to the actor is from a humanitarian nature. Namely, Visnjic is planning to will visit an animal shelters in Zarkovica, a small place near Dubrovnik.

At the end of December last year, due to the violent abduction of 65 dogs in Zarkovica, the Visnjic spouses addressed to the Mayor of Dubrovnik himself. For ten years now, Goran Visnjic and his wife Eva have been donating money for the cause of helping abandoned and stray animals, both in the United States and Croatia. The couple is known in Hollywood for their active campaigns and efforts to protect animals, and they have even settled few of those animals on their ranch near Los Angeles.

Goran Visnjic is also an active ambassador and honorary board member of the International Foundation for Animal Welfare (IFAW). In March 2015, along with other world stars, the actor recorded a video message meant to alert the public about the threat of extension of Kenyan elephants.
